Before confirming a booking, please examine this refund policy thoroughly. By reserving a charter with EquitableSharedSpace, you accept and consent to these terms of refund.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Qualified for: Complete refund excluding handling costs

Processing Duration: 5-7 business days

Administrative Fee: €50 for credit card payments

Requirements: Cancellation must be submitted through written communication either by email or telephone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Qualified for: Half the total cost of the charter

Processing Duration: 7-10 business days

Administrative Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund amount

Requirements: A justified reason is needed; administrative charges will apply

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Qualified for: No refunds provided

Exception: Exceptions for emergencies may be considered on an individual basis

Alternate Option: A credit for chartering may be granted at the discretion of management

Requirements: Emergency instances require supporting documentation

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety comes first. In the instance that the weather is determined hazardous for sailing by our certified captain, we offer flexible alternatives:

  • Complete Refund: A 100% refund is provided if rescheduling is unfeasible
  • Reschedule: Transfer of your booking to an alternative available day without added costs
  • Charter Credit: Issue a credit valid for one year from the initial charter date

Weather Assessment Process

We perform a comprehensive weather evaluation that includes:

  • Examination of wind patterns and intensity
  • Evaluation of wave heights and sea status
  • Forecasting visibility and rain conditions
  • Notices from the Coast Guard and any cautions
  • A safety appraisal by our qualified captain

Decision Timeline: Outcomes on weather-related cancellations are concluded no later than 4 hours before the planned departure.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Urgent Conditions

We comprehend that urgent medical incidents can occur. Respective cases that might be eligible for special consideration include:

  • Sudden medical conditions or injuries needing hospital treatment
  • Loss of an immediate family member
  • Urgent military deployment or recall
  • Juridical obligations such as jury service or a legal summons
  • Disasters impacting travel plans

Proof Required

For emergency refund requests to be processed, the following evidence is required:

  • Certification from a medical professional or hospital records
  • Death notice, if applicable
  • Military directives
  • Juridical subpoenas or notices for jury duty
  • Urgent travel decrees or disasters declarations

Procedure: Emergency refunds are concluded within 3-5 business days after the receipt of relevant documentation.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Problems

If the assigned vessel encounters a mechanical issue that cannot be resolved, we offer:

  • Substitute Vessel: We will seek to provide an equivalent replacement vessel
  • Full Refund: Provided if a suitable alternative is unavailable
  • Partial Refund: Given if the replacement vessel is of a different fare
  • Compensation: Further recompense may be extended for the inconvenience suffered

Crew Absence

In the uncommon event that a certified crew cannot be found:

  • Substitution of crew members will be arranged if achievable
  • Complete refund given if the charter is unable to proceed
  • Reschedule with no extra charges

Refund Processing

Payment Methods

Refunds will be returned via the original method of payment used at the time of booking:

  • Credit Cards: Reflect within 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Take 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: Process within 3-5 business days

Administrative Charges

Credit Card Transactions

€50 charge for cancellations accomplished more than 72 hours beforehand

Bank Transfer Transactions

€25 charge for all bank transfer refunds

International Transactions

Additional costs might apply for transactions carried out internationally

Charter Credits

Issuance Instances

Charter credits may be presented as a substitute for refunds under specific circumstances:

  • Cancellations occurring shortly before the charter (less than 24 hours in advance)
  • Cancellations due to weather conditions
  • Voluntary rescheduling by the client
  • Disturbances in operation

Credit Conditions

  • Validity: Effective for 12 months from the issuance date
  • Transferable: Not shift-able to other persons
  • Amount: The entire value of the charter (exemption from handling charges)
  • Utilization: Applicable for any charter with open dates
  • Expiry: No extension past 12 months is granted

Partial Service Refunds

Service Disruptions

In the event that your charter is interrupted or reduced due to causes within our control, we offer:

  • A proportional refund dependent on the unutilized period
  • A credit for a future equivalent-value charter
  • Complimentary services or upgrades where available

Disruptions Caused by Guests

If a charter is prematurely concluded due to guest misbehavior or safety infractions:

  • No reimbursement for the remaining time
  • Complete payment is still obligatory
  • Potential additional costs

Dispute Mediation

Should you find yourself in disagreement with a refund verdict, you are entitled to:

  • Ask for a reassessment by our managerial staff
  • Submit further evidence or documents
  • Seek out solutions via consumer protection channels
  • Pursue available legal channels as permitted by law

Our team will recognize your request within a day, assess it in line with our policy, come to a conclusion within two days, and carry out authorized refunds within the pre-established timeframes.

  • All demands for refunds should be made in written form
  • Refunds proceed in €, no matter the currency used in the initial transaction
  • We highly suggest obtaining travel insurance
  • Our policy is subject to modifications, given a forewarning of 30 days
